Dublin shoppers looking for discounted furniture and home decor will have a new option starting Friday, Sept. 4, when the Wayfair Outlet opens at 6765 Dublin Center Drive in the Dublin Village Center off Sawmill Road.

The store will offer 50% off all furniture and decor for its grand opening, according to NBC4. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Unlike Wayfair's full-price store near Polaris Fashion Place, the Dublin location is a discount outlet carrying overstock, open-box and other marked-down items. Shopping is in-person only; nothing from the outlet can be purchased online for delivery.

Akshay Munot, general manager of Wayfair outlets, described the format as a deal-hunting experience with rotating inventory. Munot said Wayfair chose the Dublin site for three reasons: its proximity to a company fulfillment center, an existing customer base in the area and the chance to complement the roughly 70,000-square-foot Polaris store at 1551 Gemini Place, which opened June 18. The outlet also gives Wayfair a way to resell returned merchandise more efficiently.

"The Dublin outlet is part of Wayfair's growing omnichannel ecosystem and our broader effort to meet customers wherever and however they prefer to shop," Munot said.

The Dublin Village Center space previously housed a temporary Columbus Metropolitan Library location while the current Dublin branch was under construction. Restoration Hardware already operates an outlet at the same shopping center, making Wayfair the second major home-furnishings discounter at the site.

Product categories span living room, bedroom, kitchen, office and bath. As of Aug. 22, Wayfair is hiring seasonal sales associates for the location.

The Dublin outlet is Wayfair's second central Ohio location and part of a broader brick-and-mortar push that includes planned stores in Cincinnati, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Pittsburgh and other cities in 2027, according to Chain Store Age.

Doors open at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4.
