Dublin's young musicians get a big-stage moment Aug. 15, when School of Rock Dublin performs at the Columbus Food Truck Festival, just five days before Dublin City Schools open for the year.

The student performers take the main stage at 1:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, according to 10TV. They share a Saturday lineup that includes George Barrie from Doc Robinson, Stage Five Clinger, Friends of the Dead and a headliner set from DJ Logic with Robert Randolph and Friends at 7:45 p.m.

School of Rock Dublin, located at 6727 Dublin Center Drive off I-270 and Sawmill Road, is co-owned by Chad Greenwald and Russell Miller. The school serves students across Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center and Hilliard through programs for ages 3 and up, with its flagship Performance Program combining weekly private lessons and group band rehearsals that culminate in live shows like this one.

Last weekend before school

Dublin City Schools' first day for grades K–12 is Aug. 20, according to the Columbus Dispatch. That makes the Aug. 15 festival one of the last big outings before backpacks come out.

Festival founder Chas Kaplan describes the event on its website as a signature regional gathering for food and music fans, drawing families from across Central Ohio.

Friday's music lineup features Drew Diligence at 4 p.m., Johnny Moderation at 6 p.m. and A Band Called Dreamland at 8 p.m. More information and tickets are available at columbusfoodtruckfest.com.
