Three Dublin Jerome programs open OHSAA postseason play during the week of Sept. 28 as the Celtics' boys golf, girls golf and girls tennis teams all begin sectional tournaments.

Both golf squads enter the bracket as defending Division I state champions. Jerome's boys and girls teams swept the 2025 state titles at Firestone Country Club in Akron, the first time both programs from the same school won in the same season since Jerome did it in 2013.

The boys golf team tees off Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 9 a.m. at Denison Golf Club in Granville for the Division I sectional, according to OHSAA tee times. Upper Arlington, Olentangy and Bexley are in the same group. The top four teams and low-scoring individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the district tournament at The Links at Echo Springs on Oct. 5.

Brady Barnum leads the boys squad. He earned individual medalist honors at the 2025 state tournament with a two-day score of 137 and was named OCC-Cardinal Golfer of the Year with a 66.75 scoring average, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Barnum arrives in peak form. He represented Team USA at the Junior Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club on Sept. 20–21, where the Americans won 17.5–6.5 for the largest victory margin in the event's history, according to AmateurGolf.com. "My game is as close as perfect as it's probably been," Barnum told NBC4 on Sept. 18, days before the event.

He opens sectional play Tuesday.

The girls golf team follows Wednesday, Sept. 30, with an 8 a.m. tee time at Raymond Memorial Golf Course in Columbus. New Albany and Upper Arlington join Jerome in the sectional field. The top four teams advance to the district tournament Oct. 5 at The Links at Echo Springs in Johnstown.

Jerome's girls won the 2025 state title by 12 strokes, posting a 624 (315–309) over two days at Firestone, according to Ohio.golf. Nikitha Suresh, then a sophomore, finished fifth individually with a 146 (73–73).

Girls tennis sectional play began Sept. 30 and runs through Oct. 5, with the district tournament set for Oct. 6–11 and the state tournament Oct. 15–16, according to the OHSAA.

Should any golf team advance through districts, the Division I state tournament is scheduled for Oct. 12–13 at NCR Country Club in Kettering.

Jerome also hosts a varsity football game and field hockey Senior Night during the week of Sept. 28, according to the school's athletics department.
