Free concerts, Halloween trails and a Thanksgiving morning race fill Dublin's fall calendar, with more than a dozen events spread across the city from September through November.
The lineup begins with Sundays at Scioto, a free outdoor concert series at Scioto Park presented by the Dublin Arts Council, according to Visit Dublin Ohio's fall events guide. The series runs Sept. 13, 20 and 27 and Oct. 4, featuring local acts, food trucks and art activities. The park closes at capacity, so arrive early.
Riverside Crossing Park hosts the Moon Festival and Kung-Fu Tai-Chi Day on Sept. 26. The free event includes traditional performances, kung fu demonstrations, tea ceremonies, mooncakes and family activities.
Night markets and October frights
The North Market Night Market returns to North Market Bridge Park on Thursday evenings in September and October: Sept. 3, Sept. 17, Oct. 1, Oct. 15 and Oct. 29, according to the Visit Dublin Ohio guide. Each night brings more than 30 vendors, live music and Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) beverages on the street.
October is packed with Halloween programming. Oakland Nursery's Fall Festival runs Oct. 10–11 with hayrides, pumpkin picking and live music. Dublin's Halloween Spooktacular follows Oct. 15–16 at Coffman Park, offering a trunk-or-treat trail, hay maze and live performances.
Boo at the Zoo at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium spans four weekends: Oct. 3–4, 10–11, 17–18 and 24–25. Activities include Tommy C. Turtle's Trick or Treat Trail and the Halloween Hullabaloo.
Two more Halloween events land later in the month. Boo + Brew at Bridge Park on Oct. 21, is a free outing where businesses line the streets to hand out candy, with face painting and a balloon artist. The Historic Dublin Candy Trail on Oct. 24, sends families through Historic Dublin businesses from 3–5 p.m.
Dublin's official Trick-or-Treat night is Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6–8 p.m., according to the city's events calendar. The City of Dublin follows the date recommended by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC).
November: harvest shopping and a Thanksgiving run
The Harvest Market at Bridge Park takes over Longshore Street on Nov. 7, with fall-themed goods for cooking and holiday shopping.
The fall season closes on Thanksgiving morning. The Flying Feather Four Miler on Thursday, Nov. 26, starts at The Club at Corazon with a Kids Gobbler Chase before the main race. All finishers receive a medal.
Looking further ahead, Dublin's first-ever Christkindlmarkt opens Saturday, Nov. 21, at Riverside Crossing Park, bringing a European-style holiday market with handcrafted gifts, seasonal food and entertainment into December.
