Dublin residents can walk their own neighborhoods alongside city staff starting Sept. 9, with nine walks scheduled through late October.

The City of Dublin on Sept. 2 announced a new program called Walk With Your City. The initiative pairs residents with city representatives for 45- to 60-minute walks on Wednesdays through local neighborhoods and parks.

Families and children are welcome.

The first walk takes place Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. in the East Dublin Civic Association neighborhood. Morning and evening time slots alternate across the schedule.

Each walk starts with introductions and a brief overview of the route. After that, the conversation is open. Residents can raise questions about city initiatives, offer feedback or just get to know the staff members who serve their area. City staff will share follow-up information and resources after each walk.

The city said the program aims to build connections through conversation and time spent together in Dublin neighborhoods.
