Dublin Coffman will honor two former football standouts at halftime of the Battle of Dublin rivalry game Sept. 4.

Fred Pagac Jr. and a teammate identified only as Trey will be inducted into the Coffman Athletics Hall of Fame during the home opener, the football program announced on X on Aug. 31. Coffman Athletics also posted photos of the inductees, calling them the program's "newest Coffman Athletic Hall of Famers."

Pagac played linebacker for the Rocks in the late 1990s. He earned two All-Conference and two All-State selections, and the Associated Press named him first-team Division I all-Ohio as a senior, according to an Ohio State recruiting profile.

The football program called him Ohio's Defensive Player of the Year in 1998.

As a senior, Pagac recorded 98 tackles and eight sacks while leading Coffman to an 8-2 record and the Ohio Capital Conference divisional title. He stood 6-foot-2 and weighed 230 pounds. As a junior, he posted 110 tackles and six sacks. Recruiting services rated him a top-10 linebacker prospect nationally and the No. 3 prospect in Ohio.

Pagac went on to play four years at Ohio State. His father, Fred Pagac, was the Buckeyes' defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at the time of his recruitment.

The program said it looks forward to hosting Pagac, his wife Stephanie and their two sons for the ceremony.

Trey, whose last name was not included in the program's announcement, played wide receiver on Coffman's 2007 squad. That team went 13-1 and reached the OHSAA Division I Final Four. Coffman's football program has made three Final Four appearances, in 2001, 2003 and 2007.

The Battle of Dublin is a crosstown rivalry game and the Shamrocks' first home contest of the season. The halftime ceremony is open to all fans in attendance Friday night at Coffman's home stadium.
