A collision between a car and a motorcycle shut down a heavily traveled stretch of Riverside Drive on Aug. 24, keeping the road closed for more than two hours during the early afternoon.

Dublin Police initially alerted drivers that a crash north of Tonti Drive had reduced traffic to one lane in each direction. By 1:10 p.m., police announced that all northbound and southbound lanes between Hard Road and Wyandotte Woods Boulevard were fully closed.

The segment of Riverside between Hard Road and Wyandotte Woods Boulevard is a major north-south corridor in Dublin.

At 2:06 p.m., one northbound lane reopened while both southbound lanes remained shut. The road did not fully reopen until roughly two hours and 20 minutes after the first alert, Dublin Ohio Daily reported.

Police declined to say whether anyone was injured.

Dublin Police confirmed to Dublin Ohio Daily that the crash involved a car and a motorcycle but would not release any other details about the incident, including its cause.
