Fara Waugh, who has spent more than three decades at a major Delaware County aging-services nonprofit and now serves as its CEO, will step down in 2027.

SourcePoint announced Sept. 11 that Waugh plans to retire once her successor is in place, likely by late spring 2027. The nonprofit serves adults 55 and older across Delaware County, including Dublin residents who rely on its Meals on Wheels deliveries, in-home care and caregiver support programs.

Waugh joined SourcePoint in 1995 and was named chief executive officer by the board of directors in 2019, according to the Delaware Gazette.

"SourcePoint has been such an important part of my life, and it has been a privilege to work alongside so many talented staff members, volunteers, board members, partners, and community leaders," Waugh said in the announcement.

Over her career, Waugh oversaw the expansion of services including nutrition programs, Medicare counseling and partnerships with government and private-sector organizations. She guided SourcePoint through the COVID-19 pandemic without missing a single day of Meals on Wheels deliveries. In 2025, the organization purchased its facility at 800 Cheshire Road to strengthen long-term stability.

Board president Pamela Foster called the transition a planned move from a position of strength. She said SourcePoint's commitment to older adults and families in Delaware County will not change with new leadership.

The board will lead a search for the next CEO. A search firm has not been named. The board is in the planning phase, and Waugh will remain in her role through the transition.

SourcePoint was founded in 1992 to help older residents live safely at home and avoid premature nursing-home placement. The organization is partially funded by a local property tax levy and relies on hundreds of volunteers. It also receives support from grants, private donations and the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging.
