Two hotels totaling nearly 280 rooms are headed to Bridge Park's Riverside Drive corridor, doubling the number of properties along Dublin's busiest hospitality strip within roughly a half-mile.
A 150-room Tempo by Hilton and a 130-room boutique hotel from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and Crawford Hoying will join the existing AC Hotel by Marriott and SpringHill Suites by Marriott, according to NBC4. The concentration is unusual for a suburban downtown and reflects how aggressively Dublin's Bridge Street District has pursued walkable, hospitality-driven density.
Tempo by Hilton clears a key hurdle
Dublin's Planning and Zoning Commission approved the Final Development Plan for Bridge North on Thursday, July 9, clearing the Tempo by Hilton to move into platting and permitting. The city's PZC case file lists the applicant as Caleb Bandy of Moody Nolan; the roughly seven-acre site sits northeast of the Riverside Drive and John Shields Parkway intersection, zoned BSD-SRN.
Daimler Group is leading design and construction in partnership with Indus Hotels. The six-story hotel would total about 94,000 square feet, with two restaurant spaces flanking the lobby and connecting to an adjacent pocket park. Guests would enter from the Longshore Street corridor with views of the Scioto River, and the exterior would mix brick, metal panel, and wood accents.
Bridge North is big. The five-building development is organized around a central public plaza with a five-story office building offering 75,000 square feet, 60,000 square feet of retail, three residential buildings totaling 296 units, and a five-story parking garage.
Dublin Economic Development Director Jeremiah Gracia said in a July 10 news release that the office space "will give businesses more opportunities to grow in or locate to Dublin while keeping their teams connected to world-class amenities, including restaurants, markets, health and wellness options, recreation and walking paths."
Groundbreaking is expected in 2026, though Daimler, Crawford Hoying, and Indus Hotels were not available for comment on a specific date.
Cameron Mitchell boutique hotel adds dining, spa, condos
The Cameron Mitchell hotel is planned southeast of the State Route 161 roundabout at Riverside Drive and West Granville Road. First announced in 2022, the project has evolved through multiple city reviews. Plans for an adjacent condo tower were scrapped in 2023 in favor of an office building, and a spa partnership was added later.
As currently proposed, the seven-story hotel would include about 130 guestrooms alongside an eight-story tower with roughly 24 condominiums. Four food and beverage concepts, a rooftop pool bar, and an event venue with a 4,000-square-foot ballroom round out the plans. A three-level, partially below-grade parking garage would serve the development.
Panacea Luxury Spa Boutique, based in Hilliard, announced it would open its second location inside the hotel, occupying more than 17,000 square feet across the building's second floor.
A Cameron Mitchell Restaurants spokesperson told NBC4 on July 27 that "there are no updates to share at this time on the boutique hotel's construction schedule." Dublin's planning portal shows the project has active Final Development Plan, Final Plat, and Preliminary Plat cases in the city's pipeline.
A bet on Dublin's visitor economy
The two new hotels would bring Bridge Park's room count to roughly 575 keys within a half-mile stretch. Dublin now has 18 hotels and more than 200 restaurants, drawing 2.9 million visitors annually, according to City Scene Columbus.
Visit Dublin President and CEO Scott Dring told City Scene Columbus in a July 27 feature that Bridge Park's announcement years ago signaled a turning point. "When Bridge Park was announced, we knew it was going to be huge," Dring said. "That's when we felt we could really turn Dublin into a regional destination."
No hearing dates for either project's next milestones have been publicly posted. Bridge North must complete preliminary and final plats before construction can begin; the Cameron Mitchell hotel's platting cases remain under city review.
