Dublin Jerome claimed both the boys and girls Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Division cross country championships Saturday, Oct. 17, at Hilliard Bradley High School.

Emma Styn won the girls race to lead the Celtics to the team title. On the boys side, Carter Hutchinson finished first among four Jerome runners who placed in the top seven.

Both teams now turn to the OHSAA Division I regional meet Saturday, Oct. 31, at Pickerington High School North. Central District Division I teams begin postseason competition at regionals without a district qualifying race.

Dublin Jerome Athletics announced the results on X, highlighting Styn's first-place finish and the depth of the boys pack at the front of the race.

The Celtics' cross country sweep adds to a strong fall for Jerome athletics. The boys golf team also won its second consecutive state championship.

Jerome will face a large regional field on Oct. 31. The boys regional field includes 32 teams, and the girls regional field features 31 full-squad entries, according to the OHSAA Central District tournament page. The girls race is scheduled for 10 a.m., with the boys following at 10:40 a.m.

Dublin will be well represented at the regional. On the girls side, Dublin Coffman, Dublin Jerome and Dublin Scioto are all listed among the participating schools. On the boys side, Coffman and Jerome carry the Dublin banner.

Division I teams skip the district round entirely and compete at the regional, where top finishers earn a trip to the OHSAA State Championships on Saturday, Nov. 7. For Styn, Hutchinson and the rest of the Celtics, the Oct. 31 regional at Pickerington High School North is the next race on the calendar.
