Dublin Jerome's football program added a new varsity offensive line coach on Aug. 19, hiring Clint Kitchen, who comes from Kenton High School, for the 2026 season.
Kitchen spent four years coaching the offensive line at Kenton, his alma mater in northwest Ohio, while also teaching fifth grade. He played guard and center for the Wildcats before heading to Capital University, where he played fullback and earned multiple All-Academic honors in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
The hire was announced on X on Aug. 19, with the post calling Kitchen a "multi All-Academic OAC winner" who "excelled as the varsity offensive line coach from 2022-2026."
Kitchen's move to Dublin is a full transition. The Dublin City Schools Board of Education approved his placement as a fifth-grade teacher at Scottish Corners Elementary School at a salary of $69,503, effective Aug. 17. He majored in Early Childhood Education at Capital.
The hire represents a step up in competition level. Kenton competes in OHSAA Division III with roughly 206 male students enrolled. Jerome is a Division I program with 825 male students, one of the largest football programs in the state.
Kitchen stayed connected to Kenton after graduating in 2018. Listed at 5-foot-8 and 215 pounds during his playing days, he returned to coach at his alma mater and remained a familiar face in the Wildcats' football community. The Kenton Athletic Boosters once organized a team trip to Ohio Northern University so current players could watch Kitchen and two other alumni compete for Capital.
Jerome enters the 2026 season under new school leadership as well. Dr. Bryan Arnold, a 2002 Dublin Scioto graduate, took over as principal for the 2026-27 school year.
