Dublin residents must register by Monday, Oct. 5, to vote in the Nov. 3 general election, and which congressional race they see depends on which county they live in.

County boards of elections and the Ohio Secretary of State's office will stay open until 9 p.m. that evening, according to WBNS-10TV. Early in-person voting and absentee voting by mail both begin Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Franklin County: District 15

Dublin voters in Franklin County will choose between Republican Rep. Mike Carey (incumbent), Democrat Don Leonard, Libertarian Brennan Barrington. Gary Josephson and Samuel Ronan are write-in candidates

Delaware County: District 4

Dublin residents in Delaware County are generally in the 4th Congressional District, according to the WBNS voter guide. That race features Republican incumbent Jim Jordan, Democrat Joshua Kolasinski and independent Tracey Tackett. Voters should confirm their district through the Ohio Secretary of State's website.

Statewide races

Every Dublin voter will also weigh in on two statewide contests.

The U.S. Senate special election pits Republican Sen. Jon Husted against former Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, Libertarian William B. Redpath and Independent Greg Levy. Gov. Mike DeWine appointed Husted to the seat in January 2025 after J.D. Vance became vice president. The winner will serve the remaining two years of Vance's original term. Both Husted and Brown had raised $14.4 million as of June 30, according to Ballotpedia.

The governor's race features Republican Vivek Ramaswamy and running mate Rob McColley against Democrat Amy Acton and running mate David Pepper, plus Libertarian Don Kissick and running mate James L. Mills.

Issue 3: voter ID

Accepted forms include an unexpired Ohio driver's license or state ID card, a U.S. passport or passport card, or a military or veterans affairs ID. A majority yes vote would adopt the requirement.

How to vote

Franklin County's early voting center is at 1700 Morse Road in Columbus. Hours from Tuesday, Oct. 6, through Friday, Oct. 9, are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Franklin County Board of Elections. The final day of early voting is Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Absentee ballot applications must reach the county board of elections by 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27. All absentee ballots must arrive by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

On Nov. 3, polls open statewide from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
