Nearly one-third of Dublin's 23 schools will open the 2026-27 year with a new leader in the front office, after two additional principal changes that weren't included in our Aug. 3 report bring the total to seven.

The Dublin Ohio Daily first reported the additional changes July 31. The two moves we missed: Jason Snyder promoted to principal at Davis Middle School, and Josh Page leaving Eli Pinney Elementary for a new district-wide role.

Snyder has been assistant principal at Davis for more than a decade. He spent 13 years as a physical education teacher at Scioto High School before serving as athletic director at Karrer Middle School and then becoming assistant principal at Davis in January 2015. He has spent his entire career in Dublin City Schools.

Page is stepping into the newly created position of Director of PK-5 School Leadership, where he will support elementary principals across the district. Eli Pinney earned an Ohio Department of Education Blue Ribbon Award in June 2026 under his leadership. Amber Brown, previously assistant principal at Olde Sawmill Elementary, is taking over at Eli Pinney. Brown started in the district in 2005 as an intervention specialist at Indian Run Elementary and moved into administration in 2021.

The five changes reported earlier remain: Dr. Bryan Arnold at Dublin Jerome High School, Wayne Tsai at Dublin Coffman High School, Nick Bertrams at Olde Sawmill Elementary, Monica Woodson at Abraham Depp Elementary and Travis Woodworth at Thomas Elementary. Woodworth, who spent 16 years at Delaware City Schools, is the only outside hire among the seven.

The Dublin City Schools Board of Education unanimously approved personnel actions at its July 9 meeting, with all five members present. Board member Christopher Valentine made the motion, seconded by Tiffany deSilva. The district has since published profiles for all seven new leaders on its website.

The leadership turnover arrives during Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Schwanke's first year. Schwanke took over Aug. 1 after spending nearly three decades in the district. She told NBC4 on July 23 that her "singular focus" would be on "leading this district forward." New high school attendance boundaries also take effect for incoming freshmen in 2027-28.

"You have to know what people need and how you can remove some of the barriers to help them be successful," Snyder said in a district profile published July 29. "Although I've been in this building for a while and I know a lot about the building, I haven't been principal yet."

The first day of school for grades K-12 is Aug. 20. The district's next Board of Education meeting is scheduled at Emerald Campus, 5175 Emerald Pkwy., after the school year begins.
