Dublin City Council will take up a new fee schedule, four capital-project bids and a mid-year budget adjustment when it meets Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at 5555 Perimeter Drive.

The packed agenda stretches well beyond the deer management ordinance and Rings Road memorial preserve rezoning the Ledger covered separately. Here is what else is on the table.

2027 fee schedule

Ordinance 49-26 would revise Chapter 35 of the city's codified ordinances and set a new schedule of fees and service charges for 2027. The city's Finance Committee reviewed the proposal at its Aug. 11 meeting, according to the committee's agenda packet.

One notable piece: the fee package includes a document on EV charging fees. Dublin's public chargers have been free since the first one was installed at the Rec Center in 2012. A city study recommends charging 26 cents per kilowatt-hour at regular chargers and 40 cents at fast chargers, Dublin Daily reported in July. Usage roughly doubled over the past year, according to that report.

Monday's vote is a first reading. A second reading and public hearing would follow at a later meeting.

Mid-year budget adjustment

Ordinance 50-26 would amend the city's 2026 annual appropriations with a third-quarter supplemental. The agenda packet references an exhibit listing the specific line items, but those dollar figures have not been made public in the agenda summary.

Four capital-project bids

Council is scheduled to introduce, hold public hearings and vote on four resolutions the same night:

  • Resolution 34-26: Water Tank Improvements Project
  • Resolution 36-26: Hyland Glen Park Construction Project
  • Resolution 37-26: Riverside Crossing Park Safety and Streetscape Improvements
  • Resolution 38-26: Riverside Crossing Park Electrical Infrastructure Project

Each resolution would accept the lowest and best bid for its project. Specific bid amounts are listed in supporting memos attached to the agenda packet but were not available in the published summary.

Rec center refresh, Phase III

Staff will present a Phase III update on the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) refresh, including locker room layout options. The overall DCRC project budget stands at $19.5 million based on design work presented at the Aug. 17 Capital Improvements Program work session. Council approved a $2.4 million Phase 2 contract in August, according to a Hoodline report.

The proposed 2027–2031 CIP allocates roughly $62.4 million to parks, according to that same work session.

Briefings and presentations

The meeting opens with an update from Syntero, a behavioral health nonprofit. Council will also hear an Innovation & Technology Briefing and a Q3 Public Safety Briefing.

Also on the agenda

Two ordinances return for second reading and public hearing: Ordinance 46-26, authorizing an easement acquisition at 4405 May Apple Court for the Riverside Drive Shared Use Path, and Ordinance 47-26, petitioning Madison County to adjust Darby Township boundary lines to exclude territory Dublin has annexed. A separate resolution would declare surplus city vehicles and equipment.

The next regular council meeting is scheduled for Sept. 28.
