Dublin City Council approved economic development agreements with three companies on Aug. 24, clearing the way for a bank headquarters relocation, a staffing firm's expansion and a mechanical contractor's new facility.
The deals with Northwest Bank, InnoSource and John W. Danforth Company are projected to add more than 500 jobs to Dublin over the next several years.
Northwest Bank plants its headquarters in Bridge Street District
Northwest Bank, a publicly traded financial institution founded in 1896, will move its corporate headquarters into all 75,000 square feet of Class A office space at Bridge North. The mixed-use development by The Daimler Group and Indus Hotels was approved by council in 2025.
The bank plans to relocate 120 employees and grow to 300 by 2034, according to the city's economic development office. Northwest Bank selected Dublin after a nationwide search that included other Columbus-area options, NBC4 reported.
Dublin will provide a performance-based incentive equal to 15% of net new employee payroll withholdings, capped at $460,000 over five years. The city will also issue a one-time $50,000 location grant once the bank executes a 15-year lease and obtains an occupancy permit.
"This move supports our long-term growth strategy, strengthens our ability to attract top talent, and positions us for continued success," Northwest Bank President and CEO Louis J. Torchio said in the city's announcement.
InnoSource grows its Dublin workforce past 100
InnoSource, a workforce solutions and human resources company headquartered in Dublin since 2010, plans to add 24 positions to its current 80-person local staff by the end of 2031, NBC4 reported. That 30% increase would push its Dublin headcount past 100.
The city's agreement provides a five-year, 10% performance incentive on qualifying withholdings from 2027 through 2031, capped at $100,000, plus a $50,000 retention grant for office renovations. Both incentives require InnoSource to sign a lease of at least seven years and occupy a Dublin facility.
City Manager Megan O'Callaghan estimated in a memo to council that the project will generate about $846,000 in additional withholding revenue over the agreement's term. The location of InnoSource's new office has not been announced.
Danforth nearly doubles local workforce with new facility
John W. Danforth Company, a mechanical contractor currently operating on Shier Rings Road, plans to expand into a new Dublin facility. The expansion will create 80 jobs representing $8 million in new annual payroll, joining 83 employees already in Dublin, according to JobsOhio. The company will also invest $850,000 in machinery and equipment.
Council minutes put the targets higher: 100 new Dublin-based jobs and 125 retained positions by Dec. 31, 2033, generating roughly $1.9 million in net withholdings over a seven-year term. The city's incentive package includes a two-year, 15% withholding incentive followed by a five-year, 10% incentive, capped at $353,000, plus a $50,000 location grant. Danforth must execute a lease of at least 10 years.
Councilmember Keeler congratulated the city's economic development team on a "successful month" when the three agreements were introduced at the Aug. 10 council meeting. All three passed on second reading Aug. 24.
Northwest Bank's Bridge Street District headquarters is expected to open in 2029.
